GDS Deepens Partnership With CyrusOne; Eric Siao Resigns

GDS Holdings Ltd. (Nasdaq: GDS) announced a replacement to its board of directors, bringing Gary Wojtaszek onboard and appointing Zulkifli Baharudin, an independent director, to fill the audit committee position after Erik Siao resigned today.

Wojtaszek is president and chief executive officer of CyrusOne Inc. (Nasdaq: CONE), a real estate investment trust. He has been an observer of the board at GDS, which develops and operates data centers in China, since October.

The chairman and chief executive officer of GDS, William Huang, said, "We are delighted to formally welcome Mr. Wojtaszek to the Board. CyrusOne is our important strategic partner and a global leader in the data center space. Mr. Wojtaszek's rich experience and background strengthen our partnership with CyrusOne and also add an additional dimension to our already strong Board."

The chairman of the audit committee, Lim Ah Doo, said, "I would like to thank Mr. Siao, on behalf of the audit committee, for his diligent oversight, unwavering support, and contributions to the audit committee over the years."

In a statement today, the company said Siao resigned for personal reasons.

The stock of GDS was trading at $42.78 per American depositary share, down 24 cents intraday Friday.
